Max Engelhardt's Bio
The words Sturdy, Plumb and Secure are often used to describe Wigdahl Electric’s Quality Pipework – but can also be used to describe Max Engelhardt, President of Wigdahl, a third generation electrician and mainstay at the company where his father worked for more than 50 years.

“Quality pipework is almost a form of artwork when you see it. To have no kinks in the pipe, to make sure that it’s a smooth, seamless process. When the pipes are plumb, sturdy and secure – installed mechanically correct – that shows strength in the installation.”

Beginning his apprenticeship in 1979 at Local 150, Max began work for Benson Electric in Waukegan, eventually starting and working in the family electrical business, Express Electric, for 20 years. When Max’s father fell ill, Max stepped up to help at Wigdahl Electric, eventually taking his father’s place to hold the Electrical License at Wigdahl for The City of Chicago.

With more than 35 years experience, Max excels with his ability to understand complex projects, applying his hands-on knowledge and a truly collaborative teamwork style, to consistently provide for the growing power needs of clients’ IT infrastructure and data communications centers.

Clients place their trust in Max, in his ability and willingness to “get his hands dirty” and be there at any hour of the day or night, in his reputation for making and keeping promises to solve their problems on time and on budget.

Computer rooms and data centers have become much more power intensive. The pace of change demands regular retrofits and the addition of generators, air conditioners and UPS systems in an ever-smaller footprint. Max’s team at Wigdahl Electric excels at retrofits primarily because they’ve performed so many – so well – for clients whose relationships (and data centers) extend back years, including top firms such as Walgreens, McDonald’s, McMaster Carr and Sungard Availability Services.

Call or email Max at any time: (847) 417-5374 or max@wigdahlelectric.comMax and his entire team are ready to ‘take control’ of your most challenging problems and provide you with confidence and peace of mind, knowing you’ve made the right decision to place your trust in Wigdahl Electric.

Morley Rushford's Bio
Founded in 1922, Wigdahl Electric’s outstanding reputation in Electrical Construction became the foundation for their later expansion into cellular and wireless technologies.

With the advent of emerging cellular telecommunications and wireless systems in the mid-1990’s, Wigdahl has been at the forefront in the industry’s development – with Morley Rushford playing an integral part of this growth from the beginning.

A 1999 graduate of DeVry University with a BS in Operations Management, Morley immediately began working at Wigdahl, literally climbing his way up the ladder, first as a field tower climber, foreman and construction manager – then rising through project manager leadership to his current position as Vice President – in charge of the Wireless Telecommunications division.

Since his start working as an apprentice for 5 years in the IBEW/NECA Local 134 Communications Program, Morley’s nearly 17-year journey at Wigdahl has been marked by a personal and professional drive to learn as much as he can about the industry, while always searching for ‘what’s next’.

Having worked first-hand to build Sprint and T-Mobile’s first cellular networks in the Midwest, Morley has gained valuable insight through his nurturing of these complex systems, from the original build-outs and launch to the ongoing maintenance and fine tuning. This experience is evident in a passion for his work – a passion for seeking new opportunities to expand Wigdahl Electric’s reach within the Cellular marketplace as well as grow their influence outside of the Midwest into the US overall.

Raised in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Morley’s competitive work ethic and small-town values translate into a personal passion for family: his wife and two children, and a love of all sports – whether participating, watching his children play or cheering for the Green Bay Packers.

Call or email Morley at any time: (847) 417-4720 or morley@wigdahlelectric.com When you call on Morley and his team, you know he’ll get things done. Morley regularly makes and keeps commitments to clients, 24/7/365. Honest, very responsive and easy to work with, clients soon learn they can trust in Morley as a friend, as well as partner in business.
